I am about to embark on some self training. I have text files output from a equipment calibration process. I want to automate opening a folder full of text files sending each to its own work sheet in an Excel workbook. Then certain ranges of cells are to be copied from each worksheet and pasted in to positions in a destination excel spread sheet. The positions of source and destination are all fixed. Is windows scripting the way to or? Would Excel macros be better? Can Windows scripting call Excel macros?
