Hi
I am having a issue with kids arguing who's turn it is on the computer and I thought I could use a script to take care of that, but I can never find the time to get it together. So I tried a program called turn nanny which freezes after a minute or so and have
tried several things and can't seem to get it to work. So I thought maybe tech net forum guys should be able to whip that up in no time, piece of cake!.
The general idea is attached as a flow chart. I am thinking if the timer could be displayed in the corner of the desktop in large red display it would be great, even if I had to download a timer program or something. The announcements I wanted it to be mp3
files that were activated at the appropriate times because the girls reading isn't at a adults level obviously.
The last user file is a text file that stores the last user so that when it is shutdown it can be retrieved later. the incorrect user, 15min, 5min and Times Up warnings will be a mp3 that I can create. The skip turn section could just use messagebox. The
user activity section would be a loop of 100ms until the 30 seconds has elapsed. Also the kids have a bad habit of closing anything that pops up at startup. So I will need to have something that brings that prevents them from closing any dialog boxes.
Feel free to ask anything that I haven't made clear or suggestions on another way to do it. I have attached the sdr file so that you can use it to aid in design of the script. I had to use mediafire to share the files with you. I cannot post hyperlinks either.
